JOB SUMMARY
We are strengthening our team in Penang with a Warehouse and Logistic Executive to ensure day-to-day warehouse and logistic functions are executed smoothly. The candidate must be able to enhance the workflow and carry out action plans while ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer service standards are met inclusive of reaching short- and long-term performance goals. This would be a great position for someone who has hands-on experience in warehouse/logistic management, has excellent communication skills, and demonstrates a track record in controlling/managing inventory accuracy and logistics with a positive/energetic attitude.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily activities of the warehouse operations until timely closure such as incoming shipment, material issuance to production, outgoing shipment/logistic arrangement, receive/release of shipping documents, and documentation update.
Work closely with other departments such as customer service, sourcing, planner, quality, and/or supplier on matters related to delivery fulfillment: monitor the stock level (raw material including accessories) to ensure no over-pulling or stock overflow and manage material according to first-in-first-out (FIFO) with proper labeling at warehouse and outgoing shipment.
Responsible for implementation of processes and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 requirements.
Document control (upkeep of filing and data entry accurately): perform incoming receiving and entry of Good Received Note (GRN) into ERP system, to facilitate PO closeout and invoice payment.
Prepare/update maintenance plan/checklist and inspect warehouse equipment & tools regularly.
Lead warehouse improvements with project-based activities. Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to reduce operating costs through efficient space utilization, improve security/loss prevention in the warehouse, and provide cost-cutting ideas.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing compliance to standards/procedures/legal regulations: Ensure all workers adhere to safety rules and good housekeeping according to 5S.
Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and maintain reports on inventory count, dead stock, consumption, and manpower.
Review and identify warehouse risks and improvement potentials, assuring actions are taken to close identified gaps.
Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success: Train and monitor employee performance, provide support and training as needed.
Meet regularly with Site Manager to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity, security, and loss prevention.
Ensure 100% stock accuracy, on-time delivery (OTD), and zero customer complaints due to warehouse/logistic arrangement.
Any other tasks assigned by superior as deemed necessary from time to time.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONDegree in Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years' experience in managing a warehouse with good track records.
EXPERIENCESignificant work experience in a high-paced environment.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record in controlling and managing inventory accuracy.
Experience in Contract Logistics is an added advantage.
LANGUAGESBi-lingual capabilities desirable (Bahasa/English/Chinese/Other).
