Summary
The Manager, Test Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for effectively managing the resources who accept, transfer, install, improve and maintain automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Lead test process optimization with a focus on productivity improvements, cycle time, and yield within an Operations value stream
Under supervision, define, specify, qualify, install, support, and optimize test process and equipment solutions for manufacturing
Debug test processes and equipment solutions using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies
Collaborate with Quality, Process, and Equipment engineers to identify and resolve product and test yield and performance issues
Develop improvement roadmaps for test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, test time reductions, and OEE
Analyze and interpret data from yield reports, equipment logs, and product diagnostics to identify sources of yield loss
Provide solution support to process engineers to enhance detection of known defect types as part of a Process Control plan
Support the integration of test equipment into Manufacturing Execution Systems, including yield, tester logs, and product parametric information.
Required 8 - 12 years of experience in similar position and holds a Degree in Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in RF troubleshooting (Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in RF Assembly and Testing
Experience in troubleshooting Power Supply and Measurement Equipment (familiarity with Agilent or Keysight Power Supply and Multimeter is a plus)
Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI)
Supervisory experience with Debug Technicians
Proficient in PCBA troubleshooting for Analog, Digital, and RF Boards
Ability to read schematic diagrams and assembly drawings
Knowledgeable in reading component data specifications
Experienced in customer engagement
Ability to provide Yield, Defect Pareto, and Debug WIP reports
Experience in RMA and Failure Analysis
Typical Education
Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational Requirements may vary by Geography.
