Position Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to prepare students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The Accounting Intern will support the finance team by assisting with various accounting tasks and projects. This role is designed to provide practical experience in financial reporting, data entry, account reconciliation, and other essential accounting functions. The intern will gain valuable insights into the accounting profession, develop key skills, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the month-end closing activities and preparation of financial statements.
Helping with internal and external audits and tax returns by preparing necessary documentation.
Gain familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP by assist in ensuring US and statutory accounting GAAP compliance.
Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders across different regions as needed.
Participate in projects, company initiatives, and ad hoc assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess or currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
Preferred skill(s): Proficient in Microsoft Office, Work Independently,Ability to collaborate as part of a team, Problem Solving Skills, Effective verbal and written communication skills
