The Experience Design and Research is a cross functional group within Motorola Solutions Chief Technology Office.
User Centered Design and Research is the fuel that fires the next generation of experiences and solutions for our commercial and mission critical customers/users.
The team consists of Industrial Design, UI/UX, Research, and Technologist who design for diverse and challenging markets.
Police, Fire and Industrial user groups all have very distinct and tangible design problems; whether it's the dirt, grime and high noise of industrial environments, gloves and turnout gear for Fire or managing intense cognitive loads during police action.
Our team is exploring, testing and designing for emerging technologies that will define the next generation commercial, public safety and first responder communication solutions.
Your designs will enable a Use Experience and total solution that can save lives in moments that matter.

Our innovative and growing organization is looking for a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a 3D digital artist.
This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record must be demonstrated.
Your responsibilities as a 3D digital artist include creating renderings, animations, video editing, storyboarding and minor 3D modeling.
To successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams, you should be detail-oriented, hold strong communication/organization skills, be pragmatic yet flexible and a good team player.
Ultimately, we are looking for a 3D artist that has a mastery of the craft to generate high-end realistic imagery/animations.
Creative Contributions and You | Work Description and Skills
Integrate effectively into a multidisciplinary group that includes cognitive and behavioral scientists, interaction designers, and human factors engineers and deliver to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Generate photo-realistic renderings and animations from 3D models (provided from Design/Engineering teams) with nuanced lighting, texture, color, and composition.
Collaborate with marketing, designers, and agencies to scope and identify project requirements and schedule deadlines.
Conceptualize vague requirements/goals into creative ideas and visualizations.
Understand and communicate a user journey or product value proposition through various media, storyboards, animations and videos.
Ability to consolidate cross-functional team feedback on multiple projects and adjust final media assets for marketing release.
Develop guidelines/templates for environments, textures and lighting standards.
Ability to adhere to file management standards.

Basic Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or Master from an accredited Digital Artist and/or Industrial Design program.
3+ years of experience as a 3D Artist or related position.
Strong rendering capabilities are necessary with the use of Blender, Keyshot, Cycles and/or any rendering software.
Proficiency in animations and video generation for storytelling of user experiences and showcasing product solutions.
Expert at Adobe Creative Suite for visualization and editing such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
Some exposure to at least one 3-D CAD program, such as Solid-Works, Pro-E and or Rhino or other similar tools is required.
Willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest creative software and hardware.
Driven to maintain organized and thoughtfully setup 3D and other design files.
