The role works in close collaboration with the Mechanical/ Process/ E&I/ Piping Engineers and project team leaders to generate plant 3D models, provide other 3D modelling expertise, produce AutoCad 2D and/ or 3D drawings in accordance to the specifications provided by the Engineering and Sales & Marketing teams for contract execution and proposal preparation of the Company's contracting business.
Job holder functions as a member of a team, and at often times, in individual assignments.ResponsibilitiesGenerates, maintains and keeps updated with the latest developments and standards the plant 3D modeling database and catalogues and editing of catalogues, specification database, creation of new catalogues and specifications
Works and coordinates with other 3D team members to generate plant 3D models for the project teams, which includes equipment, piping, structures and cable trays
Coordinates with project team leaders to organize internal and external plant 3D model review to resolve issues and ensures efficient delivery of 3D plant models.
Operates and manipulates Naviswork Freedom and/or Autodesk Plant 3D Suite software during plant 3D model reviews
Provides competent technical feedback & advice related to plant 3D modelling to piping committee.
Coordinates with the Piping Engineering Team and other design disciplines to resolve issues including solving day-to-day project issues
Schedules/ executes project within the budgeted timelines and man/hours
Design tie-in/ pipe racks drawings and piping crossing at suitable elevations
Coordinates and constructs 3D plant model that consists of equipment, steel structures/ plinths, pipe routing (complete with instruments, valves, special parts, pipe supports, cable trays etc.)
and plant part convert for any custom component
Initiate project setup, customizes equipment, pipeline, valves, instruments, custom plant components; constructs Plant 3D model, generates piping GA/ elevation/ isometrics drawings, and all necessary drawings/ reports for proposal works and projects, as per specifications provided by the Engineering and Sales & Marketing teams; extracts (from data manager), generates and checks MTO/ BOQ
Ensure all drawings are in accordance to set drafting standards, numbering of drawings are in accordance to set standards and maintains a record of the drawings before filing
Verifies all drawings for completeness and rectifies errors before submission to the team members for approval
Required qualificationsRelevant Diploma or Certificate Mechanical Engineering Drafting qualification
Minimum 5 years experiencein plant 3D modeling (includes piping planning & routing design and, using Autodesk Plant 3D software or other similar software
Experience in Oils, Fats, Oleochemicals and/or Biofuels Industry would be preferred
Knowledge of pipe stress analysis software (Caesar 2), structural design software and/or any smart P&ID software shall be considered as added advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
