Job DescriptionThe Accountant & HR Executive is responsible for managing the full set of accounts and overseeing HR operations. This role combines accounting duties such as financial reporting, tax filings, and payroll management with HR tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple functions efficiently.
Accounting Responsibilities:
Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the accounting system.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
Handle corporate tax filings, GST/SST submissions, and ensure timely compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Monitor cash flow and manage payments to suppliers, employees, and other stakeholders.
Process payroll, including salary calculations, deductions, EPF, SOCSO, EIS contributions, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
HR Responsibilities:
Manage the recruitment process from job postings to hiring decisions, and coordinate new employee onboarding to ensure proper documentation and smooth integration into the company.
Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, performance reviews, and leave tracking, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Address employee concerns, manage conflict resolution, and foster a positive workplace culture. Organize training programs to improve skills and performance. Administer benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses, ensuring timely and accurate claims processing.
Develop and update HR policies in line with company goals and regulations, and communicate them effectively to all employees.
Support managers in performance appraisals, including goal setting and feedback, and assist with disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in both accounting and HR roles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xeersoft, MYOB, QuickBooks) and HR management systems.
Knowledge of labor laws, employment standards, and tax regulations.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
