Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting (Accounting)
Full time
Ankaa Consulting provides a range of risk management services to production and processing industries.
Our clients are mainly, although not exclusively, in the upstream and downstream oil and gas sectors.
Ankaa Consulting's main office is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Management:Maintain and update the general ledger
Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate posting of transactionsAccounts Payable & Receivable:Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
Manage customer invoicing and follow up on collectionsAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flows
Ensure accurate record-keeping of company cash flows
Compliance & Audit:Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and tax law
Assist in external audits by preparing necessary documentationBudgeting & Forecasting:Support budget preparation and financial forecastingPayroll & Administrative Support:Assist in preparing payroll reports and processing payments.
Maintain employee expense records and reimbursements.
Handle correspondence related to financial matters.
Assist with filing, archiving, and organizing accounting documents.Process Improvement:Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practicesQualifications and Requirements
Education: Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SAP, or equivalent).
Strong skills in MS Excel and other Office applications.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingOther Skills:Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.What we offer
