Account Executive

Job Description: Manage and handle a full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Liaise with external parties, including bankers, auditors, tax consultants, company secretaries, and other professionals, to ensure compliance with audit, tax, and statutory obligations.Oversee a team of accounts & administrative assistants.Managing daily accounting tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate account records.Prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet schedules for management review, adhering to deadlines.Prepare payments and perform monthly reconciliation of bank balance, creditors and intercompany balances.Verify purchase orders, delivery orders, invoices, ensuring all entries accurately recorded in accounting system.Perform other ad-hoc tasks as and when required by management.Qualifications: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Accounting, or Professional Certificate or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, particularly in managing a full set of accounts.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, regulations and internal controls.Audit experience from accounting firms will be an added advantage.Great work ethic and high sense of urgency. Independent, responsible, proactive, self-motivated, effective communication skills and highly committed.Proficient in programs including SQL Accounting Software, Excel and Word (advantage).
