Main Requirements: Candidate should have at least 2 to 3 years of working experience in finance & accounting roleCandidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance, or other relevant professional certification. Experience in handling and managing high volume of invoice transaction from outlets/ suppliers/ vendorsExperience in financial and management reporting background with F&B and/or retail related business is a plus. Job Objective: Responsible for month-end and year-end closing of accounts.Prepare internal reports for the assigned Brand(s) through compiling information, i.e. Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) for Business Unit Leaders and Head of Departments to assist them in monitoring their expenses.Responsible for the assigned Brand's creditors' aging, payment and claims.Cash flow management and forecast for the assigned Brand(s). Job Responsibilities: 1. Internal Report & Closing of Accounts : Prepare monthly actual reports with budget figures for operation analysis purposes.Prepare monthly financial reports with proper supporting schedules.Perform bank reconciliation and follow up on un-cleared cheques, General Ledger (GL), Accounts receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) closing.Monitor and review month end inventory report, petty cash claims for the assigned Brand(s).
2. Creditors' Aging: Monitor creditors' ageing to ensure no outstanding balances are exceeded credit term.Supervise creditors' payment.Reconciliation of creditors' statements, follow up on reconciliation to ensure accurate recognition of costs in book entry.
3. Collection Recon:Monitoring Day-to-day collection for every business centre (outlet)Recon all the collection of payment method (Sales Delivery, Credit Card, QR & etc) with the Bank StatementsReview the sales of the outlet on day-to-day basis. Make sure all the sales of outlet are captured into the Accounting System.Communicate with the Branch Manager/Operation Manager/Finance Manager for all the findings of suspicious unreconciled amount.
4. Cash Flow Management and Forecast at Brand level:Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and ensure availability of funds as needed for the assigned Brand(s).Effective management of cash flow for the assigned Brand(s).Control payments and collections to ensure recovery of possible debts.
5. Payments & Claims: Verify all payments to ensure there are with supporting documents and is within the approved limit, including payment by cheques, telegraphic transfer, bank drafts and petty cash and prepare payment remittance for Accountant's approval.File payment vouchers and remittance.Check and ensure no unauthorized spending for any restaurant within the assigned Brand(s).
6. Others: Perform any other additional responsibilities as assigned by the Immediate Superior and/or Head of Department. Other requirements: General understanding of the accounting principles, regulations, compliance requirement, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).General understanding of the Enterprise Resource Planning software and other accounting related software.Recognize and be responsive to the needs of all internal customers of the organization.Able to multitask and coordinate work priorities and duties.Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.Able to analyse and present data in an impactful & convincing manner.
