Account Manager (Full Set Accounting)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to oversee the full set of accounting functions within our organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting department's operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
The role involves managing all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, financial statements, audits, taxation, and month-end closings.
Key Responsibilities:Full Set Accounting:Handle the complete set of accounts, including preparation of financial statements, management of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
Month-End Closing:Ensure the timely and accurate closing of monthly accounts, preparation of financial statements, and analysis of variances.
Taxation:Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns (including GST/SST and income tax), ensure tax compliance, and handle tax planning and filing.
Cash Flow Management:Monitor and manage company cash flow, ensuring there are sufficient funds for day-to-day operations and managing working capital.
Internal Control:Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Audit Support:Assist with year-end audits, including liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Budgeting and Forecasting:Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing financial insights and analysis.
Compliance:Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, statutory requirements, and regulatory reporting.
Team Supervision:Supervise and train junior accounting staff to maintain smooth and efficient accounting operations.
Client Relations:Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MICPA) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, including handling full set accounts.
In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax laws, and accounting regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Auto Count, SQL, or similar) and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
