Account Specialist (Sales Development)

Your Job As an Account Specialist at Molex Malaysia (Penang), you will be the key player in managing and nurturing assigned accounts to achieve profitable growth and make Molex the preferred supplier. Your role will encompass responding to customer inquiries with Molex solutions, coordinating internal and external resources, and actively working to expand Molex's market presence.
Our Team You will be an integral part of a team that liaises closely with various internal stakeholders, such as Sales Engineers/Managers, Demand Planning, Product Management, and others, to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Externally, you will interact with purchasing, procurement, and technical teams to ensure Molex's offerings align with customer needs and expectations.
What You Will Do Respond to customer inquiries by providing Molex solutions, including product information, pricing, or RFQ, and technical specifications. Design-in activities with customer R&D & NPI team. Must learn basic end customer technical requirement to coordinate with relevant Molex teams & recommend to the customer a complete Molex solution when needed. Prepare monthly sales reports and call plans, highlighting potential opportunities and risks. Coordinate customer contracts and agreements as necessary. Visit customers as needed to foster relationships and understand their requirements. Build relationships with internal Business Units to support sales efforts. Stay informed about the market, customers, and competitors. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) You possess a degree in Engineering or a related field. You have a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a technical background in the Electronics industry. Your experience includes customer-facing roles with a focus on service and commercial aspects. You have a proven track record of managing customer accounts and fostering growth. What Will Put You Ahead Prior experience in Sales within the electronics industry. A history of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Strong familiarity with Molex products and services. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Advanced expertise in sales strategies and lead qualification
