We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team, specializing in the management of newly acquired entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a proven track record in integrating financial operations of acquired businesses.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesHandle full set of financial accounts
Prepare a full reconciliation of company accounts in preparation for the audit schedule
Review and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and various detailed analysis reports to relevant parties
Preparation of management reports, budget, profit, and cash flow forecast if needed
Oversee the whole financial operations including AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, taxes, financial accounting, and management
Resolve accounting & financial issues
Review general ledger to ensure the accuracy of posting
Coordinate monthly and annual closing activities
Produce financial statements and ad hoc financial reports
Ensure all related transactions for accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany loans & manual journals are recorded monthly in the company's accounting system, ensuring proper documentation for all invoices and payments for future reference
Review the external auditor's findings and propose solutions to the company
Liaise with company tax auditors, bankers, and other third parties where needed
Review all inventory reports and cross-check actual stock by visiting the club and conducting a club audit
Tag all company assets and cross-reference against the internal database to ensure all company assets are retained
Perform other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions or similar experience with newly acquired entities
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficient in accounting software and financial management tools
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Willing to work at Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru
