Responsibilities
To take responsibility for the execution of financial duties and projects of the company and department.
To liaise with Auditor on the audit queries and drafting of auditor report.
To liaise with Tax Agent on the tax queries, handle tax computation and returns.
To liaise with Co Sec matters that relate to banking and audit.
To liaise with Bankers to ensure smooth operations and cash management functions.
To review financial journal entries, reports and supervising month-end process.
To review account payables items and staff claims to ensure compliance with policies and proper authorization.
To review bank instructions and payment vouchers against supporting ensure accuracy and completeness before payment.
To review preparation and submission of SST, WHT and Stamp Duty.
To prepare cash flow projection, monitor funding request and ensure adequate money to settle payment obligation and spare funds are invested.
To assist in preparing annual budgets and updating quarterly forecasts.
To monitor budget/forecast metrics, tracking of actual costs, and prepare the variance analysis.
To prepare Monthly Financial Reports with variance analysis to Senior Management.
To prepare Reporting to Regulatory Bodies of Capital Market and Financial Services industry.
To assist in Board paper preparation.
To assist Financial Controller in meeting with Department PICs to develop strategic plans, brainstorm ways of process improvements, and manage the financial bottom line.
To provide training to staff members regarding financial processes.
To assist Finance Department in other accounting functions of the company and subsidiaries.
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
ACCA qualified or equivalent is preferred.
More than 5 years of working experience in a senior position within Accounting and Finance.
Possess strong knowledge for people management and stakeholder skills.
A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements.
Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good report-writing and communication skills.
Proficiency in financial planning and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
