JR69459 Accountant II (Fixed Asset)
This is a varied and challenging position and ideally would suit a qualified accountant looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The role is expected to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes. As a Financial Accountant, you will focus on month end close activities and fixed assets accounting for Micron Companies.
Responsibilities and Tasks (include but are not limited to):
Manage day-to-day accounting activities, focusing on fixed asset accounting including lease accounting
Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries
Review and track fixed asset project costs following policy and guideline
Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc reports
Ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies and SOX controls
Support internal and external audit
Support business partners and finance analysts on fixed assets related matters
Drive process improvement and automation to streamline fixed assets processes
Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers
Ad hoc task as assigned
Key Skill/Competencies
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
SAP experience highly desirable
Experience in Blackline, Ariba and Concur preferred
Experience in data analysis & result oriented
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision / direction
Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
Education & Experience
Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance.
3+ years accounting or finance experience
Shared service experience and/or audit experience preferred
