The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing budgets, analyzing financial data, handling tax returns, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Daily roles include overseeing the Finance & Admin Team to ensure timeliness and accuracy in their work, reviewing outgoing payments before management approval, and any other finance and admin matters.What you'll be doing
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses to support business decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and reporting.
Provide support and mentorship to junior staff, as needed.
What we're looking for
ACCA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Diploma in Accounting and relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in handling full sets of accounts and financial reporting, including dealing with auditors and tax consultants.
Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, Zoho).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
Minimum 1 year of experience in supervising a team of 5 people.
Hands-on experience in administrative and HR matters will be an added advantage.
Ability to speak and write in Bahasa Indonesia will be an added advantage.
Able and willing to travel outside Malaysia at least once a month and on short notice.
