The Accountant oversees various aspects of the accounting and finance operations and reporting of assigned entities.
Preparation of financial reports and financial statements in compliance with IFRS and preparation of management reports, project costings, cost analysis, forecast and budgets tracking are part of his/her responsibilities.
The Accountant will have to ensure annual statutory audits are carried out smoothly and tax computation and SST submission are timely and accurate.
Besides coordinating and liaising with clients' audits, maintaining internal controls and ensuring procedures are adhered to and updated, the Accountant must also assist in the consolidation of accounts.Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for full set of accounts of two entities, one of which is an investment holding company.
Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports (journal, general ledger, trial balance, balance sheet & profit and loss).
Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to Singapore HQ for consolidation purposes.
Payment and billing processing and cash flow management.
Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Provide financial analysis to support decision making, budgeting and forecasting processes.
Handle income tax and other indirect taxes (SST/Withholding Taxes) and their relevant filings.
Liaise with external parties (e.g., auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents).
Ensure accounting and internal control procedures comply with group policies.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Supervise and manage the account team.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, ACCA.
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience.
Knowledge in Revenue Recognition in Percentage of Completion Method will be an advantage.
Knowledge in Sage 300 is preferred.
Possess initiative and willingness to learn.
