Accountant

This position is based in KL Eco City, Kuala LumpurPerform month-end and year-end closing activities for multiple entities in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established requirements, procedures, and guidelines.Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review, along with other ad hoc reports as needed.Post manual journal entries, provisions, and accruals accurately and efficiently.Support the implementation of system enhancements to improve accounting processes.Implement best practices for internal controls and the month-end closing process.Oversee external and internal financial and tax audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Assist in audit activities and respond to queries from external auditor.
Preparations of financial statement in accordance with relevant accounting standards.Assist in tax filling processes, address queries from tax agents and provide necessary documentation.Work closely with other finance function teams and business units to help make decisions and improve overall financial performance.Undertake any other jobs and duties may be assigned from time to time by management.Bachelor of Degree in Finance and Accounting, or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent certification.Good understanding of IFRS with experience in group financial consolidation.Good spoken and written in English (other foreign languages is an added advantage).Excellent interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills.Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Familiarity with SAP processes is an added advantage.
