Overall Job ScopeSupervise the Finance & Accounting team to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with the Company's financial policies, accounting procedures, and statutory requirements to support business functions.
Drive continuous improvement in process flow, financial system implementation, and internal controls.
Core ResponsibilitiesOversee finance and accounting for the Company, including preparing and finalizing monthly and yearly accounts.
Verify payments to creditors, ensure compliance with the company policy on payment terms and documentation before submitting to the Director for approval.
Monitor and manage debtor aging, ensuring timely collections on outstanding accounts receivables.
Review all invoices, receipts, and payments before monthly account closing to ensure completeness and accuracy of data entries.
Handle inventory closing, reconciliation, and fixed asset management.
Verify and post transactions entered by junior accounting staff.
Review the trial balance, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and necessary schedules for monthly reporting.
Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts.
In charge of mid-year and year-end stock take and fixed asset sighting.
Liaise with external auditors for audit matters and handle the audit field works.
Compile information for tax filings, ensuring timely submission and compliance with all tax obligations.
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management.
Technical SkillsBachelor's Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of government legislation and regulations related to tax and accounting.
Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Soft SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
Independent and proactive approach to tasks.
Highly responsible with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
