Job Description: Managing Multiple Portfolios: Each staff member manages 6-8 portfolios, depending on their complexity, meaning the Accounting Specialist oversees financial tasks such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliation for multiple clients or departments.Financial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards. This includes producing reports for management and possibly external stakeholders.General Accounting Duties: This could involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, handling payroll, managing ledgers, and ensuring all financial transactions are properly documented.Use of Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software. The role would include entering data, generating reports, and ensuring that the system is up-to-date and accurate.Client Interaction: The role involves ad hoc client meetings (1-2 times a month), which suggests the Accounting Specialist may need to explain financial reports, answer client queries, or provide advice on financial matters.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldAt least 3 years of relevant work experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficient in accounting software, particularly XeroExcellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teamsStrong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
