Accountant / Senior Accountant (Mnc/Manufacturing)

Our client, a USA MNC specializing in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Johor Bahru.
This role involves managing daily accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and handling local tax for the site.

Responsibilities:
Process payment requests and intercompany transactions.
Oversee month-end closing activities for Malaysia, ensuring timely account reconciliations and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain fixed asset records in compliance with US GAAP and local standards, including asset creation, depreciation, and disposals.
Set product costs, monitor variances, investigate discrepancies, and propose cost-saving measures.
Lead annual physical asset verification and inventory processes.
Support fixed assets and cost accounting UAT for the Malaysia site.
Assist with local statutory financial reporting, audits, and tax filings.
Collaborate with auditors and external tax advisors, and contribute to transfer pricing documentation preparation.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of working experience in financial accounting, tax compliance, or related functions.
Preferably with a background in MNCs and the manufacturing industry.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
Proficient in English; ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and proficient with any accounting or ERP software.#J-18808-Ljbffr
