Job DescriptionTo handle full set of Company's accounts which entails the following:
Record accounting transactions (Journal Vouchers, Payment Vouchers, Receipt Vouchers, Sales Invoices, Purchase Bills, Expense Bills).
Ensure all accounting transaction documents are complete and accurate.
Maintain up-to-date and systematic filing of accounting records and documents.
Prepare internal company billings and reconciliation of balances.
Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and inter-company balances.
Maintain accurate records of income and expenses.
Manage accounts payables and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Oversee accounts receivables and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments.
Prepare progress claims, sales invoices, statements of accounts, and other accounts receivable reports.
Record monthly journal entries and perform monthly account analyses.
Ensure month-end reconciliations, management accounts, and sub-reports are completed by the monthly deadlines. Report to supervisor or finance manager.
Assist in preparing audit documentation, tax schedules, and corporate tax computations.
Ensure accounting records comply with internal and external audit requirements and adhere to the Company's internal control processes.
Provide support for daily accounting tasks and office administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor or finance manager.
Undertake special assignments, ad hoc functions, and other duties as necessary.
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, LCCI qualification or similar.
Professional certifications such as MIA, ACCA, or CIMA are an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining afull set of accountsis required.Candidates without full set accounting and bookkeeping experience will not be considered.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software (Master, SQL, QNE, or Sage UBS).
Familiarity with local accounting standards and tax regulations, including MFRS, SST, and Malaysian tax laws.
Demonstrates a positive attitude, independence, and the ability to learn quickly.
Capable of completing monthly accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, andMandarin(for communication and reporting to the China holding company).
