We are looking for a driven Accounting Interns with a basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience.
The Accounting Interns will have the opportunity to learn and gain first-hand experience in a real finance department for a corporate.
They help perform research, prepare financial reports, and assist with reconciling accounts and other duties, as needed.
Under the supervision of a senior staff, the Accounting Interns can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about accounting software, and assist with other accounting activities.
They should be self-motivated team players who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.
To be a strong candidate for an Accounting Internship, he or she shall possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude.
You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.
Accounting Intern Responsibilities: Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties and eventually learn to be independently carry out the duties Processing vendors invoices and payments Working with Accounting software (Navision) and Business intelligence reporting software Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements and submission to management for reviews Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and operations.
What will you take away: Learn how to work as part of the Accounting & Finance team to process accounting records, compile and analyze data, track information supporting the Finance department of the company as a whole.
Understand and get expose to management reporting and information used by Management to assess a company's performance Accounting Intern Requirements: Actively working towards a Bachelors in Accounting.
Preferably with a CGPA of 3.5 and more Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles (for e.g.
IFRS).
Aptitude for mathematics, proficiency with computers, strong analytical and critical mindset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
