About the roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Clerk to join the team at Syfon Systems Sdn Bhd. As an Accounts Clerk, you will be responsible for a range of accounting and administrative duties that are crucial to the smooth running of the finance function. This is a full-time position based in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Responsibilities:
General:
Perform daily operations, including data entry, general ledger preparation, and accounts payable/receivable functions.
Prepare journals, debit and credit notes, billing, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data entries into the system.
Organize and maintain both physical and digital documents related to financial transactions, invoices, receipts, contracts, and other relevant documents.
Credit Control:
Perform credit control functions by following up on outstanding debts with customers to ensure timely collection of receivables.
Communicate with customers via statements, reminders, or phone calls to inquire about collection status and negotiate repayment terms when necessary.
Record and update collections in the accounting system and reconcile them with accounts receivable.
Conduct credit evaluations on new/existing customers as required.
Payables:
Ensure that payable transactions are accurately input into the system.
Plan supplier payments and ensure payments are made according to credit terms or on a discretionary basis.
Ensure all purchasing documents are properly compiled, scanned into the system, and filed accordingly.
Other Duties:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports or any other ad-hoc reports as assigned.
Provide assistance with other duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
A minimum of aDiploma in LCCIor a relevant professional qualification is required.
At least2 years of working experiencein the construction sector is an added advantage.
Proficient inreading and writinginBahasa Malaysia ,English , andMandarin .
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Computer literateand familiar withMYOB Softwareis a plus.
Positive, proactive, and committed, with strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Must possessown transportation .
