Required to perform finance duties necessary for the efficient operation of the office.
Prepare and maintain the day to day payment functions.
Verification of intercompany and bank reconciliations.
Verification of invoices received from vendors.
Create purchase request (PU) and payment vouchers (PV) in system.
Analyse expenses and charge to proper account and cost center.
Audit staff claims submitted by HR against summary provided before processing for payment.
Handle Finance Division incoming mails.
Assist in month-end / year-end closing.
Interact with Vendors, Clients, Bankers and Consultants (external) and with other functional heads, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders (internal).
Update cashbook on monthly basis.
Prepare Bank Reconciliation.
Prepare Audit and Tax Schedule at year end.
Sound knowledge of Malaysia Direct & Indirect Tax Laws.
Manage tender documentation deposits - process for refund / award.
Supervised according to instructions.
Job Requirements & Person Specification (Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Behaviours):
High school diploma required; college courses in accounting preferred.
Between 3-4 years' experience in a project administrative background / similar capacity role.
Experience with OBM Accounting Systems is preferred.
Good analytical skills, keen on details and organized.
Results oriented.
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
Proficient in English and Bahasa; ability to speak and write in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
Proactive and a committed team player.
Able to work independently and highly meticulously.
Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Able to work flexible hours to meet changing work environment and tight deadlines.
