Ensuringthe safekeeping of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities.
Coordinatingyear-end audits, including preparation and liaison with external auditors.
Managingtax compliance, including preparing tax estimates and returns.
Handlinginsurance claims and coordinating the company's risk and insurance programs.
Evaluatingandrecommendingimprovements to financial systems and procedures.
Maintainingthe accounting software and supporting Accounts staff.
Performingspecial or ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by management.Qualifications and Skills RequiredA bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with ACCA/CPA preferred.
At least 5 years of related work experience, membership in MIA is advantageous.
Familiarity with SYSPRO and a strong understanding of corporate tax and financial regulations.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills.
Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.
Good organizational, multitasking, analytical and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, commercial awareness, initiative and proactive.
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in Excel, including lookups and pivot tables, and in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
