About our Client:
We are representing our client, a leading supplier of materials for road construction, road-marking, and road traffic industries, to recruit for an Accounts & Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
Oversee daily accounting operations - accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive financial system in line with the headquarters' accounting, auditing, and internal control requirements.
Monitor and work well with subordinates in preparing yearly financial budgets, ensuring clear communication and reporting to headquarters and directors.
Manage all accounting-related matters, including preparing periodic financial statements and reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with relevant regulations.
Ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements, including taxation, employment, and data privacy.
Manage cash flow and ensure optimal use of company resources.
Operations:
Assist with HR and administration-related tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, and general office management.
Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and drive business growth.
Assist the director in decision making and problem solving on daily operation tasks to ensure smooth operation of the company.
Promote a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and innovation within the organization.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of operations and accounting staff's work performance.
Coach subordinates on important aspects of work performance and, where appropriate, recommend development plans, promotions, or further improvement in areas of poor performance.
Collaborate with senior management to align financial and operational goals with business objectives.
Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, cost savings, and profitability.
Client and Vendor Management:
Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
Negotiate prices and rates with vendors and service providers to optimize costs.
Track project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a combined accounting and operational management role.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Able to communicate with all levels of employees.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
Resourceful and independent with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Good command of written Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
Knowledge in handling Microsoft Office system (computer literate).
Willingness to work extended hours during critical deadlines.
Job Details:
Working hours: Mon - Fri (8.30am - 5.45pm).
Permanent employment.
