In light with a team expansion in Malaysia, the team is presently hiring for a AR Executive / Credit Controller to join their team. This is a 1 year contract role, with terms of renewable and absorbtion into a permanent employee.
about the job Manage customer credit limits and assess risks for new and existing customers. Ensure the credit review process aligns with company policy to minimize bad debts and overdue collections. Oversee the daily order-on-hold review, blocking or escalating orders exceeding credit limits for approval. Handle customer incentive and rebate billing, coordinating with the sales team. Review collection status with the sales team and provide updates on progress. Manage customer credit collections, monitor overdue debts, and track DSO days against targets. Prepare and submit the monthly forecasted DSO report to the region. Analyze accounts receivable by customer, including aging, overdue balances, and collection forecasts. Manage customer disputes with customer service and sales departments. Collaborate with the shared service center in China on accounting records and collections in the SAP system. Participate in cash-flow forecasting and drive initiatives to improve cash flow. Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure action plans for all items. Partner with AR, AP, and GL teams in the SSC to ensure smooth month-end close. Assist with administrative tasks and ad-hoc business queries.
requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent. 2 to 3 years of experience in credit control management or accounts receivable. Ability to influence in a complex, fast-paced, multi-cultural, matrix-reporting environment. Strong analytical and communication skills, with high attention to detail. Capable of multitasking and prioritizing a demanding workload, able to work independently under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and SAP FI. Adaptable to changing business environments and able to handle ad-hoc requests. Confident and personable, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
