Conduct trials and experiments with suppliers and private agencies to evaluate new products, techniques, and technologies for durian plantation- Collaborate with universities and research institutions to design and implement research projects focused on durian cultivation, disease management, and crop improvement- Write research papers, reports, and articles for publication in scientific journals and industry publications, highlighting findings and insights from research activities- Manage the farm management system, including the maintenance and calibration of sensors and weather stations to collect accurate and reliable data- Collect, analyze, and interpret data collected from sensors, weather stations, and other monitoring devices to assess environmental conditions and crop performance- Create content on diagnostics results of crop health problems, preventive solution, and recommendations to develop training materials and update TFP Mgmt- Conduct soil analysis in the laboratory to assess soil fertility, nutrient levels, and soil health, and make recommendations for soil management practices- Conduct a study to determine the losses caused by pest/disease infestation and develop practices to prevent or reduce losses- Supervise and mentor interns and research assistants, providing guidance and support in conducting experiments, collecting data, and analyzing the result- Assist in farm operations, including planting, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, pest and disease management, and harvest activities- Calculate durian yield and monitor crop performance over time, identifying factors influencing yield variability and implementing strategies to optimize production- Develop and implement appropriate strategies for the management and control of crops scientific studies- Provide timely recommendations to new processes and/or improvement(s) to secure efficient performance concerning operational manuals and review standard operating procedures (SOP)- Establish coordination with project teams and implementing partners to manage the field activities and ensure quality standard- Represent the specific project component at various platforms including regular monitoring meetings with the other partners e.g. collaborating universities on R&D crop studies- Develop and manage budgets for research projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and compliance with financial guidelines- Prepare and ensure quality of project reports and literature for presentation at policy and academic forums and publication of progress reports and impact reviews- Assist & Support ad-hoc functions from other division i.e. Projects, Farming Operations & Production if needed/applicable**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent**Salary**: RM2,800.00 - RM4,200.00 per month**Benefits**:- Dental insurance- Free parking- Health insurance- Maternity leave- Opportunities for promotion- Parental leave- Professional development- Vision insuranceSupplemental pay types:- Overtime pay- Performance bonus**Education**:- Bachelor's (required)**Experience**:- Agronomy: 3 years (required)**Language**:- English (required)- Mandarin (preferred)Ability to Commute:- Parit Sulong (required)Ability to Relocate:- Parit Sulong: Relocate before starting work (required)Application Deadline: 04/30/2024
