You will be reporting to the Manager of Category Management, where you will be expected to drive the goal of Category Management (Supply: Inventory purchase and distribution and Demand: pricing/campaign) in the Carsome Certified business vertical. The candidate will have to be equipped with strong business acumen and be analytical to analyze, design, recommend and lead the early implementation of a supply/sourcing and pricing strategy/framework.
Your Day-to-Day
Coordinate and execute daily tasks to ensure seamless business operation (including but not limited to monitoring inventory to ensure sufficient stock, minimizing aging inventory, and tracking all categories sales performance).
Analyze performance trends of inventory and sales and turn data into actionable insights, championing recommendations for improvement across category pillars which include inventory, pricing, and revenue management.
Analyze operational and campaign performance to provide insightful recommendations.
Develop and improvise strategy, models, and frameworks for category management.
Assist in developing the right category strategy with the goal of achieving company-wide KPIs (including but not limited to inventory assortment, speed of sale, profitability, and market share). The main KPIs for category management are speed of sales and margin to achieve company goals.
Collaborate with other teams including marketing, commercial strategy, operations, and product teams on various initiatives to achieve company goals.
Improvise the category management way of work to understand the pain points and find solutions to improve efficiency (product enhancement, data insights, etc.).
Continuous improvement/integration of data related – achieve a single source of truth.
Improvise demand based on insights (web traffic, search, etc.) to work with marketing, go-to-market, and product teams to find pockets of opportunities to improve demand (product development, campaign strategy, etc.).
You know-how
1 year of working experience in commercial or business analysis.
Bachelor's Degree is required with specialization in business, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong business acumen.
Proficiency with Excel and Gsheet is a must. Knowledge in SQL, Tableau, and Power BI will be a plus point.
Self-starter, ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.
Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked environment and prioritize workload under tight deadlines. Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
