About this roleMedbelle is building the world's first digital hospital.
Our mission is to enable better specialist medical care throughout the United Kingdom by combining a nationwide network of private UK surgeons and hospitals with cutting-edge technology.
We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our remote-first team as a first step to building a remote BI team in Malaysia and/or South Africa.You'll be the primary owner of our data setup, creating impactful insights to drive operational decisions and improve patient experiences.
You'll work across our full data stack, ensuring our data pipelines run smoothly and turning raw data into actionable information for stakeholders.What you will doDevelop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines to support our data warehouse and analytics needs.
Build new and improve existing dashboards and reports that empower our internal stakeholders.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and drive insights.
Manage and optimise our Postgres DWH (with DBT on AWS, orchestrated by Airflow).
Routinely ensure data availability and quality.
Lead initiatives for improving data structure, documentation, and analytical processes.Who you areLocation: Based in Malaysia
Experience: 2+ years in data/analytics engineering or business intelligence roles, including experience with PostgreSQL, Python, DBT, AWS, and Airflow.
Strong skills in dashboarding tools like Metabase or similar solutions.
Proven ability to balance technical data engineering tasks with a hands-on, analyst-oriented approach.
Comfortable working in a remote-first, English-speaking environment.
Skilled in Git & CI/CD, Google Suite.
Have advanced knowledge of data warehousing concepts and schema optimisation based on usage patterns.
Have experience in developing cross-platform ETL/ELT processes, maintaining systems for tracking data quality and consistency, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets.
Bring a high standard of quality and personal responsibility as well as attention to detail.
Maintain a proactive, creative, and self-starter attitude.
Have very good written and spoken English skills.
Timezone: Flexible hours but some overlap for meetings with the UK and German teams is required.Bonus pointsExperience with Reverse ETL and productionising machine learning models.
Experience with AWS and basic DevOps.
