Role and Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development.
Develop and maintain the software development strategy and roadmap, aligning it with IT and business strategy and roadmap.
Drive the adoption of agile software development methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
Ensure software development processes are efficient, scalable, and reliable, meeting quality standards and industry best practices.
Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate actions to drive productivity and efficiency.
Manage subscription costs (e.g.
Azure) and software development tools license renewal (e.g.
Telerik, etc.).
Approval of app project proposals.
Assign resources to projects and tasks based on the individual's skills and experiences.
Negotiate with the business or management to establish reasonable timelines.
Make key architecture decisions and ensure scalability.
Evaluate the team's performance regularly.
Participate in the team's weekly meetings to maintain a healthy relationship between the team members.
Identify training and skill development needs for the team.
Report on the progress of active projects and highlight any areas of risk against timelines that may affect the ability to deliver the product roadmap to upper management.
Job Success Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a must.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in software development and management.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written and verbally) in English, tailoring messages to resonate with various audiences.
Proven experience in software engineering, with a track record of successfully leading complex software development projects.
Strong technical background and expertise in software development languages and frameworks.
5+ years of experience in .NET, .NET Core, C#, Azure clouds, and SQL Server.#J-18808-Ljbffr
