Job Description The Asia Business Development and Marketing team is an ambitious and talented team that deliver best practice marketing initiatives Asia-wide.
The team is a critical enabler to Turner & Townsend's growth strategy in Asia.
In line with continued business growth, we are seeking a Lead Marketing and Communications who will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing, communications and digital marketing plan, and subsequent initiatives Asia-wide.
This role will manage the marketing budget, provide demonstrable ROI, and guide senior stakeholders to produce compelling thought leadership and insightful events.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound understanding of marketing strategy and execution, and operate at both strategic and hands-on level.
He/She must develop strong internal relationships and be comfortable challenging and leading technical professionals.
The role will directly line manage 3 existing, talented marketing professionals.
Key responsibilities include: Strategic planning and best practice: Develop and execute the Asia marketing and communications strategy and plan, in line with priority sectors and markets.
Support priority pursuits, alongside business development and operational teams, with targeted campaigns that influences buying behaviours.
Own the marketing budget Asia-wide, overseeing requests for investment and driving ROI.
Be brand custodian in Asia, driving brand compliance, understanding and training.
Develop best practice processes and tools to enable high quality events and thought leadership.
External communications and marketing Work with Campaigns Manager for executing strategic Asia-wide marketing campaigns.
This includes stakeholder management, multi-channel execution, internal communications and ROI.
Support external communications activity including award submissions, media relations, social media, digital, and associated profile raising activities within Asia.
Work directly with Turner & Townsend's leadership team to provide strategic communications advice.
Supervise external PR agency relationships and engagement to secure positive media coverage for agreed campaigns.
Support in directing strategic-level external event, sponsorship and conference activity; implement clear strategies for priority events and conferences to drive client engagement and ROI.
Internal communications: Support internal communications plans targeted at employees across different offices, segments, service lines, and functions to promote employee engagement.
Work alongside the sector/segment/cost centre leads to host strategic internal conferences and events.
Deliver inspiring brand-led communications content and activities to the Turner & Townsend employee audience.
Reporting: Establish measurements and tracking to ensure and demonstrate the ROI of all communications activities.
Establish or maintain methods that provide visibility to the Asia-wide business on upcoming activities and initiatives.
Produce and/or contribute to Board reports, performance reviews and summaries, as needed.
Other: Champion global/Asia programmes, deliverables and initiatives across the region.
Manage/supervise performance of marketing and communications professionals within Asia.
Work as part of the Asia Pacific marketing and communications function, in addition to working with global communications professionals.
Work in conjunction with client and bid professionals in the Asia business generation team.
Qualifications Relevant degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English or a relevant field.
12+ years of experience across corporate marketing/communications, preferably within the construction consultancy, advisory, legal, architecture, or real estate industries.
Practical experience of how professional service organizations build brand and win work.
Key skills Superior written, analytical and oral communications skills.
Strong copywriting skills and ability to identify and shape key messages.
An ability to convert strategic concepts or ideas into tactical actions and outputs.
High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse senior stakeholders both in person, and virtually.
A proven ability to successfully mentor and supervise employees.
An ability to develop, manage and improve business processes and initiatives to support a rapidly growing business.
Passionate about and focused on outcomes that support business success.
An ability to contribute strategic concepts for business and project initiatives and successfully execute those concepts.
Should be a self-starter and possess a strong ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines, with an ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
Demonstrates the utmost in integrity, with a solid work ethic, confidence, diplomacy, and credibility.
Strong PC skills required.
Expert in the use of Microsoft Office package, especially MSWord, Excel and Power Point.
