Supervision and Leadership
Direct and oversee the activities of the metal assembly team, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
Monitor performance and conduct evaluations, addressing any performance issues promptly.
Production Management
Plan, coordinate, and prioritize assembly schedules to meet production goals and deadlines.
Collaborate with production planners, engineers, and quality teams to address issues or bottlenecks.
Ensure all products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in assembly processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs), suggesting solutions for underperforming areas.
Safety and Compliance
Enforce workplace safety regulations and ensure team compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
Maintain compliance with company policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
Inventory and Equipment Management
Monitor inventory levels for assembly materials and initiate timely replenishment.
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of machinery and tools in the assembly area.
Communication and Reporting
Serve as the primary point of contact between the assembly team and upper management.
Provide regular updates and detailed reports on production metrics, challenges, and achievements.
Participate in meetings to align departmental goals with overall company objectives.
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in metal assembly, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in metal assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
