Assistant Account Manager

Details of the offer

ResponsibilitiesHandle full set of accounts such as AR, AP, cash flow management, general ledger & management reporting.
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable of the company on a regular basis to ensure smooth functioning of the finances.
Responsible for filling out all tax-related forms for the organization and depositing the tax regularly.
Timely preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets.
Review and control of balance sheet accounts.
Review and control of SST exemptions and submissions.
Handle company tax computation and corresponding responses with LHDN.
Review and prepare financial information for quarterly reports to the Board of Directors.
Monitor bank balance/cash flow position and fund placement.
Ensure all costs incurred are appropriately allocated and recharged.
Coordinate yearly audit with internal and external parties for the preparation of final accounts.
Communicate and liaise with all related departments to ensure timely processing of management reports.
Maintain accurate fixed assets and liabilities records.
Meet and liaise with external parties such as suppliers, customers, auditors, solicitors, tax consultants, company secretary, and accountants.
Liaise with banks/finance institutions on banking facilities such as loans, hire purchase, banker acceptance, guarantees, letters of credit, overdrafts, etc.
Review daily exchange rates and liaise with bankers for FOREX rates and applications.
Check/review Journal Posting, Fixed Asset Schedule, Prepayment Schedule, Hire Purchase Schedule, and Deposit Schedule for accuracy and completeness.
Supervise accounts team and provide necessary information and knowledge to the team.
Prepare journals, reconciliation statements, and other documents to ensure all financial activities are kept in check and timely.
Perform other ad-hoc activities as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & SkillsDegree in Bachelor of Accounting/Finance or related fields.
Minimum 8 years of related working experience and at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Autocount, SAP, Netsuite, etc.
Effective leadership and good interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and results-driven.
Experience in both audit firms and commercial settings is an advantage.
Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin or any other Chinese dialects.#J-18808-Ljbffr
