Assistant Account & Tax

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Account & Tax Assistant with experience in managing tax compliance and customs matters with the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and Royal Malaysian Customs Department (Kastam).
The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns, handling customs declarations, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including tax filings and customs documentation.
Assist in the preparation of tax computations and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Coordinate and communicate with IRB and Kastam officials regarding tax assessments, audits, and inquiries.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes in tax codes and customs regulations.
Support in preparing financial statements and reports, analyzing financial data for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in reconciling accounts and managing financial transactions.
Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience 2 years as an Account & Tax Assistant, preferably in a similar role handling IRB and Kastam matters.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and customs regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
