Assistant Business Project Manager, Strategic PMO (sPMO)Reporting to Head of sPMO , the key responsibility is to manage the company's major projects and deliver outcomes as strategically envisioned for the project.
The sPMO is part of BSIB's Innovation Centre of Excellence and drives project management maturity in the organisation.
Develop project scope and detailed project plans (ensuring resource availability and allocation) and deliver projects on time within budget and scope, monitor post-implementation success (based on agreed metrics).
Successfully manage stakeholders, mitigate risks associated with the project and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive organisational change through the management of strategic high impact, high value projects aimed at driving innovation and process optimisation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
Deliver strategicoutcome-based projectson time, in-scope and on-budget with high quality output.
Deliver tangible value(e.g., cost savings) from the implementation of projects following Lean Six Sigma methodology to meet individual and sPMO's departmental annual targets of tangible value delivered.
Assist the HOD, sPMO in developing project documentation and practices for the department's adoption following Lean Six Sigma framework and best practices.
Incorporate usage of data in project-related recommendation and decision-making.
Drivemeasurable resultsthrough strategic planning, execution, and continuous performance evaluation.
Monitor post-implementation success of projects (based on agreed metrics).
Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), identify workstreams interdependencies and meticulous progress monitoring.
Foster collaboration, engage internal and external stakeholders, and manage expectations / resolve conflictsto deliver outcomes envisioned for the project within a matrix environment.
Manage external vendors and technical teams to ensure the project is on track in terms of quality, delivery milestones and costs.
Support other sPMO team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
As an expert in Project Management, coach and guide other project managers as required.

JOB SPECIFICATION:
Strong academic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information technology, or related field.
MBA will have an added advantage.
Applicants must hold aLean Six Sigma Green Beltcertification with completed projects and impact measurement (achievement of financial and non-financial metrics).
Black Belt preferred.
AgileorPrince2certified will have added advantage.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Design Thinking, BPM-related) are an added advantage.
Work experience in a consulting firm/company in a digital environment managing projects is an added advantage.
Minimum5 years'experience as a Project Manager.
Strong delivery of tangible and intangiblevaluebased on past projects.
Comfortable with data and data storytelling in projects.
Comfortable using project management tools/technology.
Experienced in end-to-end project lifecycle from conceptualisation until project closure and BAU handover.
Prior experience inInsurance Industrywill have an added advantage.
