Swee Lee is a part of Vista Musical Instruments and has locations in 5+ countries across South East Asia. Swee Lee is looking for a motivated and competent Assistant Category Manager to join our team in Malaysia. As a member of our Category Management team, you will manage a category or a portfolio of brands covering a wide range of musical instrument products across Southeast Asia. You will be accountable for the performance and growth of these brands, and you must be confident in handling supplier relationships as a buyer. You should also be equipped with strong negotiation and communication skills to comprehend the needs of different stakeholders internally and externally. Responsibilities: Manage the expectations and communications of the category/brands under your care as the primary representative for the organisation.  Plan and forecast orders with the company's B2B and B2C teams and manage the purchasing, sell-through and inventory levels of the category/brands you manage Process purchasing orders for the category/brands you manage in a timely and orderly manner together with the logistics team and review purchase requisition requests by helping to verify the accuracy and specifications of the order before submission Build and regularly update the company's internal inventory/product management system to ensure products have the corrected descriptions and selling prices across the region. Assist with the development and implementation of sales strategies for both the company's B2B and B2C segments, working with the marketing and e-commerce teams for product launches and new releases. Generate detailed sales and inventory reports regularly for analytical purposes to help review sales performance and identify trends for the category/brands you are managing. Create and maintain purchasing folders, pricelists, and documents to assist with future orders, planning and budget projections. Work across multiple departments internally to ensure efficient and smooth processes for purchasing across the finance, logistics and shipping teams.  Communicate and work closely with local and overseas teams to help with product inquiries and training, fulfil market demands, resolve service/warranty matters, plan sales or dealers events, and other ad-hoc tasks.  Requirements Diploma or Degree holder, preferably in Business, Logistics or related fields Procurement or logistics background is a plus Passion in music and a desire to work in the music industry  Knowledge of musical instruments or recording software is a plus Good communication skills (written and verbal) Computer and technical skills: Microsoft Office, ERP logistics systems, cloud-based software Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail Positive attitude and a team player  Able to effectively manage multiple deadlines and projects
