Job Description Assistant Dormitory Manager Overview The Assistant Dormitory Manager supports the Operations Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the migrant workers' dormitory. This role combines administrative, operational, and resident welfare responsibilities to ensure the dormitory operates smoothly and meets the needs of its residents. The ideal candidate has strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, resident engagement and welfare responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Operation Management
Manage, monitor and coordinate daily operations, ensuring the dormitory runs smoothly and efficientlyDevelop and implement operational policies and ensure complianceCoordinate maintenance and repair activities, including responding to maintenance requests and conducting inspectionsEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policiesImplement room inspection schedule to ensure rooms cleanliness and hygiene Resident Welfare and Engagement
Create a positive living environment, address resident concerns, enforce dormitory rules, and resolve conflictsEnforce dormitory rules and regulations to ensure a safe and orderly environment Human Resources and Team Management
Assist the Operations Manager in managing the dormitory staff, including recruitment, training, and performance managementManage dormitory staff, provide guidance, and contribute to staff development and training programs Administration and Reporting
Manage resident databases, handle resident applications, and check-in/check-out processes and coordinate with external stakeholdersPrepare and submit required reports (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) and documentation in a timely and accurate manner Crisis Management
Participate in developing and implementing emergency response plansRespond to emergencies and crises as required Requirements Diploma or Degree in Building/Facilities Management/Building Services/Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in operations or facility management at supervisory role Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsGood computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards would be advantageousTrained in fire safety, emergency response, first aid & AED would be advantageous
