Assistant/Finance Manager
Your new company
The company operates a variety of establishments, including restaurants, lounges, and bars, and is recognised for its vertically integrated approach, managing everything from production to distribution of both food and beverages. Their strategic plans include an upcoming IPO on Nasdaq, which highlights their growth ambitions and commitment to expanding their market presence.
Your new role
Ensure all transactions are recorded and treated accurately in line with accounting standards and policies.
Maintain statutory compliance and provide timely financial reports to management.
Prepare comprehensive and accurate monthly financial reports for the group.
Oversee the Billing and Credit division to ensure prompt and complete billing and collection.
Monitor and verify supplier payments, managing cash and banking matters efficiently.
Handle budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure proper accounting practices and successful year-end audits.
Implement and enhance accounting systems and work processes.
Manage local tax reporting, including reviewing current and deferred tax computations, tax estimates, and tax return submissions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Oversee corporate and legal documents and applications in accordance with local laws.
Coach and develop team members.
Adhere to company policies and directives.
Perform ad-hoc functions, assignments, and related duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree and/or professional qualifications in Finance/Accounting - with at least 7 years of experience, including 3 years in people management.
Expertise in accounting, corporate finance, reporting, IFRS & MFRS, Malaysia Taxation.
Attention to detail, confidentiality and time management.
Strong F&B industry knowledge would be a plus.
Positive attitude, passion for growth, multitasking, and strong leadership.
