Job Summary The Assistant Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position requires close monitoring of the company's financial profile, including managing accounts, forecasting, and ensuring liquidity. The Assistant Finance Manager will report directly to management, providing financial insights to support decision-making and overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor the company's financial position and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Forecasting & Cash Flow Management
- Develop and manage daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts to ensure the company meets its operational and liquidity needs.
- Analyze financial data to project future financial performance, including revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
3. Client and Creditor Management
- Monitor daily spending from clients, ensuring compliance with allocated credit limits.
- Oversee the collection of payments from clients (debtors) and timely payments to creditors, including managing credit terms with key partners such as Facebook/Meta.
4. Financial Control & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and relevant financial regulations.
- Implement financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Support external and internal audits, providing required documentation and financial reports.
5. Fund Management
- Manage the company's liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
- Optimize working capital by managing accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
6. Process Improvement & Support
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and support to other departments, offering insights to support business decisions.
- Lead day-to-day financial management tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate reporting. Report directly to senior management on all financial matters, providing insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
General Duties: - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, clients, banks) on financial matters.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management, including key performance indicators and financial insights.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff as required.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required); professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
