OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support our finance department in overseeing the financial activities of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, internal controls, and extensive experience in the preparation of a full set of accounts, coupled with a background in audit, preferably from a Big 4 accounting firm. The Assistant Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the GL posting, preparation of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Prepare and analyse a full set of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, general ledger entries, and cash flow management.
Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Acquirer experience such as dealing with Visa / Mastercard reports, is preferred but not a must.
Basic tax knowledge for SEA region including Australia, good to have but not a must.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
More than seven years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong background in audit.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
CPA certification preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively across time zones, with headquarters located in Europe.
Proficiency in English to communicate with counterparties.
