Job Description:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Tourism/Hotel Management.
5 years of experience in the Front Office/Reservations/Sales of a Hotel.
Good understanding of Yield Management principles and forecasting skills.
Excellent business communication skills in written and spoken English.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members.
Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to improve team member performance.
Educate and train team members in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations.
Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
Oversee the Front Office Department and supervise all front office personnel to ensure proper completion of all front office duties.
Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and engage with guests.
Respond appropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback, and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction.
Conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas and take immediate actions to correct any deficiencies.
Help prepare annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
Monitor budget and control labor costs and expenses with a focus on rate strategy, building initiatives, and inventory management.
Oversee night audit function and preparation of daily reports.
Prepare and compile all weekly OTA Statistic/Production Reports, including revenue, room nights, percentage, weekly and weekend comparisons, cancellations, and no-show reports.
Assist in ensuring the development of increased online hotel sales and implement online marketing plans.
Ensure that the occupancy and average room rates set in the Business Plan are achieved.
Perform other duties as assigned.
