Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant General Manager shall include but not limited to the following:
Develop, recommend and monitor plans and strategies for the Operation Department in order to achieve short and long term goal and objectives of the Company.Responsible to officially design, develop and operate the overall management of new quarry operation activities (Production, Sales/Marketing, Safety & Health, Quality Control etc.)Ensure that the operation is carried out in a profitable, efficient and safe manner in order to achieve Company's Budgeted Revenue & Profits and to strategize, plan and implement business development program and effective operational activities in executing the Quarry works.The person is also responsible to ensure production process runs smoothly and to monitor all machineries are always in good working condition.Responsible to efficiently manage the overall production and day to day operations at the Quarry, Premix & Concrete Plants.To continuously ensure quality of all products produced at site meets the required specifications.To liaise with relevant government agencies, land offices, authorities etc on all relevant permits and licence matters.Recommend, manage and monitor the Operation Department's appointment of sub-contractors and suppliers.Develop, recommend and monitor staff training and development programme for the Operation Department.Recommend the training and development programme for sub-contractors and suppliers.Establish conducive working and interaction relationship within the Company as well as with clients, authorities and sub-contractors to ensure smooth and efficient operation of projects. Job Requirements Candidate must possess at least a Degree holder preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years experience in Quarry / Premix PlantExperience working in quarry's business as an advantageThe person must posses, but not limited to, the following essential skills and qualities:Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and EnglishPleasant appearance and dispositionStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsGood computer knowledgeTrustworthy, integrity and strong sense of responsibilityAble to interact with all level of employees and customers.
