Assistant Principal/Principal, Tung Shin Academy of Nursing
An esteemed, long-established hospital, founded in 1881, is seeking talented individuals to join our team.
Job Overview:
The Assistant Principal/Principal will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Tung Shin Academy of Nursing, ensuring its smooth and effective functioning. This leadership role involves the overall administration and management of academic and student affairs, with a focus on maintaining high standards of education, student welfare, and staff performance.
Lead the strategic planning and development of the academy.
Oversee the general administration of the Academy, including the supervision of teaching programs and academic staff.
Ensure the welfare, health, and security of students, and provide appropriate services to support their well-being.
Organize staff workloads, including teaching assignments, and ensure effective deployment of resources.
Manage recruitment of both teaching staff and students, ensuring alignment with professional body requirements.
Organize administrative procedures related to students' clinical placements, including teaching in hospitals and public health settings.
Supervise the planning and execution of examinations.
Review and revise policies, rules, regulations, and the overall philosophy of the Academy.
Ensure that students' living conditions in the hostel meet necessary standards.
Prepare reports for the Academy and relevant reports to professional bodies.
Represent the Academy in public relations activities and contribute to the institution's branding efforts.
Participate in committee work and collaborate with other educational institutions to enhance the Academy's image.
Participate in teaching programs as needed.
Oversee library services and ensure academic resources meet students' needs.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Who are we looking for:
A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
A licensed and registered nurse.
Possession of a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses.
Post-basic qualifications or a Teaching Methodology Certificate is an advantage.
A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in nursing.
At least five (5) years of teaching experience, ideally in a nursing or healthcare education setting.
A minimum of five (5) years of management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
