Job SummaryThe Assistant Logistics Manager will oversee warehouse operations and inventory management, ensuring all KPIs are met.
This role involves recommending procedural improvements, initiating, and leading projects to enhance productivity and efficiency within the supply chain and logistics functions.Job Responsibilities Manage all receiving and distribution operations, including scheduling and planning for receiving, poultry, finished goods (IB/OB), delivery, and returns.
Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently; allocate manpower based on job priorities.
Train new and existing staff, and ensure all SAP/WMS transactions are completed in a timely manner.
Escalate warehouse issues to other departments and collaborate on finding amicable solutions.
Oversee inventory flow, ensuring accurate storage and adherence to SOPs (FEFO).
Optimize shipping and receiving processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Coordinate activities for raw and packaging materials effectively.
Implement and enforce SOPs, Quality, and EHS CAPAs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Develop and lead warehouse and distributor audits in coordination with QA, Safety, Logistics, and Sales.
Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Manage inventory through cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and handle stock adjustments, including monthly and year-end stock counts.
Maintain a neat and organized warehouse and ensure all material handling equipment (MHE) is in good working condition.
Perform any additional duties as required by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
