Job Responsibilities:
Prepare the closing day-to-day activities are in place and deliver in timely manner.
Support financial closing (month/quarter/year-end) to meet the financial reporting requirements.
Prepare all the pre and post load ETLs related data validation and reconciliation on timely manner.
Perform investigation/escalation as when is required.
Actively monitor and report unresolved issues that may lead to closing delays.
Carry out the assessment activity/annual study for the new/existing accounting configuration of IFRS17 ETLs component.
Support the new product launch or any changes on the accounting treatment for policy admin/non-policy system from finance perspective e.g., review GL by process, UAT etc.
Assist other Finance team to ensure the financial closing timeline is met.
Liaise with auditors and SOX team on audit-related matters.
Ensure the process and control documentation in relation to ETLs processes (end to end) are accurate, complete and SOX compliant.
Assist in Finance Initiatives in building capabilities within the Finance functions to enhance and improve systems, processes, and controls, pre and post implementation.
Work together across various disciplines and Finance functions, including IT, Operations and Actuarial, to drive system and process improvement that will enable Finance to scale and improve in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Be adaptable and responsive to change management initiatives and ad hoc tasks.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Finance/Accounting related discipline or Professional qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years related working experience in Finance/Accounting roles.
Ability to work with diverse personalities across various disciplines, cultures, and business practices inherent to an international organization.
Result oriented with a sense of urgency to follow up with issue or project-related matters to resolution.
A team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and under pressure.
Preferably candidate from life insurance industry and/or audit background.
Understanding of general IFRS and IAS principles are required.
Knowledge in IFRS 17 would be beneficial.
Alteryx skills with Advance Certification.
Knowledge in Sun GL Accounting System, Vision, and SQL.
