Responsibilities:
Preparation of Interim reports for Bursa Malaysia Securities announcements ensuring accuracy of presentation and disclosure as well as for timely submission of Board papers.
Preparation of Board Papers for quarterly and ad-hoc Board Meetings.
Ensure timely and accurate information is updated to the Bursa Announcement reports.
Prepare templates and ensure Business Units (BU) receive the information required for reports.
Assist manager to plan, coordinate and monitor the annual statutory audit of the Group to ensure smooth conduct of annual statutory audits.
Manage external audit process to ensure timely resolution of audit issues and completion of audit.
Drafting of statutory financial statements of the Group and sub-group, and review of subsidiary companies' statutory accounts to relevant regulatory requirements.
Liaison with business units, other teams within SSC and external parties to ensure timely and quality preparation of Group management and Board reports.
Quarterly Bursa Reporting:
To import and upload the management accounts / trial balance / interco / related party transaction ("RRPT") / other relevant reports of non-FSSC companies into Financial Consolidation System ("FCS").
To check and review the financial statements uploaded into FCS.
To enter manual consolidation adjustments into FCS and run consolidation, to check and analyse the consolidated reports.
To prepare notes to income statement and notes to balance sheet.
To prepare RRPT report and ensure submission to Group Internal Audit Department within the agreed timeline.
To assist in preparation of Group Cash Flow statement.
To prepare for any other reports when required.
MFRS, Bursa Listing Rules:
Conduct comprehensive research on MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Monitor, interpret, and summarize changes in accounting standards and listing rules.
Prepare analytical reports and insights on the impact of changes on our business.
Liaise with different stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide suitable recommendations.
Attend workshops, seminars, and training related to MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Participate in the development and presentation of educational materials for internal audiences.
Others:
Perform ad-hoc operational / due diligent review as and when requested.
Review and re-access the existing process flows to identify areas for improvements and productivity efficiency.
Ad hoc tasks / projects as assigned by team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Comprehensive understanding of MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and function as part of a team.
3 - 5 years related working experience.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent will be an advantage.
Prior experience in Big 4, regulatory environment or listed company will be beneficial.
Knowledge of ERP/Consolidation systems, such as JDE/IFCA/Sigma/Oracle, would be an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
