Role Purpose To assist the Senior Manager or any other Supervisors to formulate, develop, implement and review strategic planning initiatives.
Supporting the various functions of the Division through analysis, data mining, preparation of reports and investment proposals and providing recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Provide recommendations to the Supervisors through analysis and data mining for the development of short and long term strategic and operational objectives in order to achieve the company's goals and business targets.
Liaise with and follow up with relevant heads of department, divisions and/or senior management of the Operating Units ("OUs") to ensure understanding and implementation of the company's strategic and operational objectives.
Periodically monitor the performance of the Company, its subsidiaries and/or investments against the approved strategic objectives and goals.
Participate to develop functional strategies to improve performance and processes at our subsidiaries and OUs.
Participate in proposed investment proposals/partnership opportunities from initiation/origination, financial evaluation, research and due diligence, negotiation, through to BOD approval and deal execution including preparation of financial models, relevant approval papers, management reports and presentations.
Perform and present industry and market research to enable better decision-making process for the Supervisors.
Participate in other functions of the department including corporate planning, business performance, corporate finance, corporate exercises and commercial development including reorganisation and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, listing and/or fund-raising exercises as required.
Managing direct reports to ensure efficient and effective delivery of results Requirements Educational Qualifications Business / Finance / Accounting / Commerce Post graduate qualifications or MBA would be an advantage.
Professional Experience 7 years working experience from either an investment, portfolio management, research, corporate finance, corporate strategy OR management consulting background Coverage of property development and master planning and/or leisure and tourism industry would be an advantage.
Characteristic / Behaviour /Competencies Strong financial and analytical mindset – ability to construct, navigate and understand a financial model for a business proposition; and proficient in reading and interpreting company financial statements.
Strong financial modelling skills with experience in Excel – an ability to understand and construct a project and equity financial model utilizing DCF and PE multiple techniques, with an understanding of debt components, cash flows, investment returns and IRR.
Ability to draft comprehensive and concise reports, memorandums and investment proposals and detailed presentations using Word and Powerpoint.
Excellent grammar in English is a must.
Analytical, self-motivated, diligent and strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, work independently and with minimal supervision towards tight deadlines and schedules.
Excellent communication skills and an effective communicator.
Ability to work as part of a team within the unit and across internal department and external parties/stakeholders.
Ability to manage, coach and mentor direct reports.
