Assistant Manager, Planning & Design (Architect)

Responsibilities and Duties: Assist the senior Architect to establish the product and product brief in conjunction with marketing survey information and budgetary allowances.Establish, maintain and update architectural design guidelines and requirements using best practice / Standards in compliance with the company's objectives.Support the Senior Architect and to work closely with consultants to develop the planning and review design submissions for compliance against the design brief and guidelines during the design development stage.Support the Marketing Team in review of project planning and design related matters during the preparation and presentation of all marketing related materials for a project launch.In a supporting role to the Project Team, review project plans, details drawings, specifications and material submission to maintain a high level of design co-ordination and quality in accordance to the established time frame.In a supporting role to the Project Team, perform interim/ milestone site inspection to review the construction and quality of workmanship at site, and provide advice on improvement measures for design implementation and compliance with the approved specification and company's objectives.To assist in providing support for in-house related architectural and design work as and when necessary.To support the Senior Architect to lead in the design review of architectural and urban design projects.To work closely with design groups and external consultants to support in-house project, marketing and costing teams towards successful project delivery.To promote good design throughout the company's development.To research and make recommendations for new design policies.To enforce the implementation of approved minimum requirements in design guideline.To make recommendations for the appointment design consultants and review consultant performance against design and co-ordination matters.General: To implement all relevant policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company's Quality Management System.Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior/management.               To be successful in this role, you will need to have these criteria: Degree in Architect or related discipline. Registered with LAM – Pt II accreditation.Minimum 5 years years of experience with reputable consultants, contractors or property developers.Experience in construction and contractual procedures and familiar with design specification, method statements and drawings.Knowledge of building, construction, infrastructure, products and technology available in the market.Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly both in written form and through graphic representations.Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.Able to build good relationship at all levels, internally and externally.Able to manage sensitive / confidential information.How will this career benefit you?
