Job DescriptionJOB BRIEF
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and supervision of all plantation operations, ensuring the effective implementation of plantation strategies, and maintaining high productivity and quality standards. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship.
RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES AND DUTIES
Assist the Plantation Manager/Senior Manager in overseeing daily operations, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting activities.
Help to develop and implement plantation plans, schedules, and budgets to optimize productivity and resource utilization.
Supervise and train plantation staff, ensuring their adherence to best practices, safety protocols, and company policies.
Monitor and evaluate plantation performance and prepare reports on key metrics as required by management.
Assist in conducting regular inspections of the plantation to identify and address any issues related to plant health, irrigation, infrastructure, or equipment.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to plantation operations, such as inventory, maintenance logs, and worker records.
Assist in any other special/ad-hoc assignments or operational works assigned by superior from time to time.
Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Have at least a diploma in agricultural studies or a related field from a recognized university; or
Have SPM with at least 3 years of work experience in the plantation/agricultural sector; or
Have sufficient experience in plantation/agriculture operations, which is deemed as adequate by the management/senior officials.
Organized, pragmatic, proactive, and result-oriented.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team spirit.
Excellent communication and social skills.
Potential to progress to a higher responsibility position.
Ability to live in a remote environment.
Must possess a valid D driving license.
Possession of a B2 driving license is an added advantage.
